Terms of Use

What FirmsNest is

FirmsNest is a software product. It is not a chartered accountant or a firm of chartered accountants, and it does not provide accounting, tax, audit, or legal advice. Each firm using FirmsNest is solely responsible for the professional services it renders to its clients and for its own compliance with the ICAI Code of Ethics and applicable law.

Your account and subscription

A firm signs up for a subscription tier and creates accounts for its team and clients. You are responsible for keeping credentials secure and for activity under your accounts. Subscription fees are billed by FirmsNest to the firm, separately from any fees the firm charges its own clients.

Your responsibilities

  • Use FirmsNest lawfully and only for legitimate professional engagements.
  • Provide accurate information and obtain your clients' consent to process their data.
  • Connect and maintain your own Razorpay account or UPI ID to collect client fees.
  • Remain the controller of, and responsible for, your clients' data and the advice you give.

Payments

Client fees flow firm ↔ client through the firm's own Razorpay account or UPI ID. FirmsNest is not a payment aggregator, takes no cut of client payments, and never holds client money. Subscription fees you pay FirmsNest are separate from this.

Data

Data is handled as described in our Privacy notice and is kept in India under the DPDP Act, 2023. Each firm's data is isolated from every other firm's.

Availability and support

We work to keep FirmsNest available and supported, with particular care around filing-season peaks. During early access the service is provided on an “as is” basis while we onboard our first firms.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FirmsNest is not liable for the professional services a firm provides to its clients, for a firm's compliance obligations, or for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the software.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India and subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
